Job summary

ALTEN is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineer to industrialise complex aerospace components in a highly regulated environment. You will own products from design release to costed manufacturing concepts and create repeatable production processes and cells.

You’ll work with design, manufacturing, quality and process engineering teams to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality delivery. This role suits an engineer who enjoys moving drawings to production and implementing robust

Qualifications

• Proven experience in manufacturing engineering within precision/advanced manufacturing.
• Strong background in complex fabrications and sheet metal forming.
• Experience with titanium, nickel alloys or high-performance metals.
• Know-how of forming, welding, heat treatment and fabrication processes.
• Experience supporting PPAP and PFMEA collaborations.
• Ability to interpret drawings and drive concepts to production.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement manufacturing processes for complex aerospace components.
• Translate drawings and costed concepts into repeatable production methods.
• Support development and optimization of manufacturing cells and workflows.
• Collaborate with quality teams on PPAP activities and PFMEA development.
• Identify process improvements to boost efficiency, quality and manufacturability.
• Work with cross-functional teams to support product introduction and ramp-up.
