Job summary

ALTEN Ltd is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineer to support the industrialisation of complex aerospace components within a highly regulated manufacturing environment. You will own products from design release through to repeatable production processes, collaborating with design, manufacturing, quality and process engineering teams to ensure safety, quality and efficiency.

This role offers the chance to establish robust manufacturing solutions for high‑tolerance aerospace applications,

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant engineering field, or relevant technical military background with equivalent hands‑on experience.
Proven manufacturing engineering experience within a precision engineering or advanced manufacturing environment.
Ability to interpret engineering drawings and drive products from concept through to production.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement manufacturing processes for complex fabricated aerospace components.
Translate engineering drawings and costed concepts into robust, repeatable production methods.
Support the development and optimisation of manufacturing cells and production workflows.
Collaborate with quality teams to support PPAP activities and PFMEA development.
Identify process improvements to enhance efficiency, quality and manufacturability.
Work closely with cross-functional stakeholders to support successful product introduction and production ramp‑up.
