Safran is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to drive the industrialisation of new products and ensure robust production processes in the UK. The role involves working with design engineering to meet manufacturing and assembly requirements, and providing frontline support to operations and other functions to deliver customer requests.

You will participate in design reviews, evaluate new product designs with CAD models, and support make-vs-buy choices while sustaining production capacity planning

Competenze

• Bachelor or HND in mechanical, manufacturing or aerospace engineering or apprenticeship
• Minimum 2 years of aerospace or automotive manufacturing experience
• Basic knowledge of design for manufacture and assembly principles
• Basic knowledge of manufacturing processes
• Ability to read and interpret 2D drawings
• Experience with company and regulatory processes, standards and specifications (Desirable)

Mansioni

• Participate in design reviews of new products and contribute improvement suggestions.
• Evaluate designs using 3D CAD models and log issues for assembly feedback.
• Coordinate design-for-assembly reviews with design engineering.
• Provide periodic support to operations, sales, R&T and after-market teams to meet customer requests.
• Perform line balancing and estimate capacity for new production processes.
• Produce APQP & PPAP documentation: process flow, PFMEA, control plan, work instructions, MSA & capability studies.
• Lead PFMEA reviews and drive product and process improvements.
