Job summary

Safran UK, via Safran Electrical & Power, is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineer to lead MRO process improvements, drive productivity and ensure compliance with customer and regulatory requirements.

You will collaborate with Operations, Quality, Supply Chain and Engineering to deploy new repair technologies, optimise repair routing and mentor engineers. A strong background in mechanical/manufacturing engineering and APQP is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical, manufacturing or related engineering discipline.
• Demonstrable experience in manufacturing engineering or continuous improvement within a complex engineering environment.
• Experience in Maintenance, Repair & Overhaul (MRO) operations and knowledge of Part 145 desirable.
• Strong stakeholder management and ability to influence at all levels.
• Experience deploying APQP standards and quality tools.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership for MRO processes and complex repairs.
• Drive continuous improvement to enhance productivity, quality, turnaround time and cost.
• Lead development and introduction of new repair solutions, technologies and processes.
• Standardise and govern repair processes, test methods and technical documentation.
• Identify and implement automation, digitalisation and equipment upgrades.
• Improve yield, defect reduction and root-cause resolution while mentoring engineers.
• Optimise workflow and repair routing across multiple product lines.
