Job summary

Safran UK is seeking a senior industrialisation and manufacturing engineering leader to define and deliver industrialisation strategies across products, programmes and manufacturing lines. You will lead complex NPI initiatives, drive DfM, DtC and process optimisation, and mentor cross-functional teams across engineering, operations, programmes and supply chain.

Qualifications

• Significant experience leading industrialisation, manufacturing or production engineering in a complex environment.
• Proven track record delivering successful NPI programmes and introducing new manufacturing technologies or processes.
• Strong understanding of DfM, APQP, PFMEA, SPC and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary teams and delivering results in fast-paced environments.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, automation and Industry 4.0 technologies.
• Ability to develop long-term strategies while maintaining focus on operational delivery.
• HNC/HND or Degree in Mechanical/Manufacturing/Production Engineering or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Defining and delivering industrialisation strategies across products, programmes and manufacturing lines.
• Leading complex new product introductions (NPI), technology implementation projects and manufacturing transformation initiatives.
• Developing manufacturing standards, methods, governance frameworks and best practices.
• Driving Design for Manufacture (DfM), Design to Cost (DtC) and process optimisation activities.
• Influencing product and process development decisions to improve manufacturability, quality and cost performance.
• Leading cross-functional teams and collaborating with Engineering, Operations, Programmes and Supply Chain.
• Evaluating and introducing new manufacturing technologies, automation and Industry 4.0 solutions.
• Managing industrialisation roadmaps, capital investment plans and long‑term capability development.
• Providing technical leadership, coaching and mentoring across engineering and manufacturing teams.
• Supporting supplier development and strategic make/buy decisions.
