Job summary

Safran Actuation Systems UK is seeking a Production Support Manufacturing Engineer for its Wolverhampton site. You will ensure safe, efficient production aligned with cost and quality targets, driving continuous improvement and supporting design changes on a cross-functional team.

The role involves developing manufacturing processes, validating and industrialising products, and providing technical support to operations. Strong Lean/Six Sigma and MES/ERP experience are valued.

Qualifications

• Degree or apprentice trained in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering or related field.
• 3+ years experience in a manufacturing engineering role within an assembly and test environment.
• Strong communication across technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and optimise manufacturing processes and production layouts.
• Lead process validation, industrialisation and continuous improvement activities.
• Apply APQP, Lean and structured problem-solving methodologies.
• Lead manufacturing readiness, process development and validation for new products.
• Create work instructions, process documentation and production standards.
• Drive Lean, Six Sigma, SPC and root cause analysis activities.
• Analyse manufacturing data (OEE, yield, scrap) to drive performance improvements.
