Advanced Manufacturing (Sheffield) Limited is seeking a Maintenance Apprentice in Rotherham to service and maintain CNC machinery, oversee contractors, and drive TPM programs. You will learn through hands-on duties, support apprentices, and contribute to safe, efficient production in a high-reliability aerospace-grade environment.

Qualifications

• Apprenticeship or equivalent experience required.
• At least 2 years of maintenance experience in manufacturing.
• Experience working in a manufacturing environment is essential.
• Experience managing a team and supervising juniors is desirable.
• Good time management and strong communication skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Make sure machines are serviced and inspected to maintenance and/or legal requirements.
• Develop TPM routines and roll out training where necessary.
• Push development of preventative maintenance throughout AML.
• Perform preventative maintenance servicing across all machine tools.
• Perform other basic maintenance routines on machine tools.
• Supplier interaction for all aspects of maintenance/ servicing.
• Oversee all contractor works.
• Obtain quotes for all plant works.
• Respond to breakdowns.
• Sign off of new equipment after install.
• Ensure maintenance records are live and up to date.
• Ensure compliance to all maintenance procedures.
• Ensure all equipment is fit for purpose via regular servicing.
• Maintain coolant health through factory.
• Keep working environment tidy.
• Conduct appraisals of apprentices under supervision, identifying development needs.
• Comply with health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures, including CNC machining relevance.
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment, reporting hazards promptly.
• Use and maintain PPE appropriately.
• Participate in mandatory EHS training and drills.
• Support a culture of continuous improvement in safety and sustainability.
