Job summary

TIMET UK Limited is seeking a time-served Mechanical Craftsperson to maintain and improve a wide range of production equipment within our aerospace manufacturing operations. You will work as part of the Engineering team on preventative maintenance, fault finding, and reliability improvements across heavy rolling and finishing processes.

The role involves strong safety practices, efficient maintenance records, and collaboration with multiple functions to achieve plant performance targets.

Qualifications

• Time-served Mechanical Craftsperson with relevant mechanical qualifications.
• Experience in medium to heavy engineering or manufacturing environments.
• Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Experience of preventative maintenance and condition monitoring techniques.
• Understanding of Permit to Work systems, risk assessments, and safe isolation procedures.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance and inspections across site equipment.
• Diagnose faults and support repairs and reliability improvements.
• Complete risk assessments and equipment isolations per Permit to Work.
• Promote safe working practices and pre-work safety checks.
• Ensure accurate maintenance records in the CMMS.
• Support weekend maintenance activities and plant improvements.
• Assist with mentoring apprentices and new craft personnel.
• Collaborate with engineering, operations, quality, and contractors to meet performance goals.
