Job summary

Hunter Selection is recruiting for a Maintenance Team Leader based in Plymouth, Devon. You will lead a multi-skilled maintenance team, drive planned maintenance and reliability, and support complex breakdowns on a busy manufacturing site.

You will apply hands-on mechanical and electrical expertise, use a CMMS to manage work orders, and collaborate with Production, Engineering and Quality to improve uptime and safety. Monday to Friday role with an early finish Fridays.

Qualifications

• Hands-on maintenance background in manufacturing/automation.
• Experience leading or mentoring maintenance engineers.
• Strong fault-finding and breakdown experience.
• Knowledge of CMMS or maintenance systems (SAP, ShireSystem).
• Understanding of PPM/Planned Maintenance and reliability improvements.

Responsibilities

• Lead, support and develop a multi-skilled maintenance engineering team.
• Plan daily engineering priorities and allocate resources effectively.
• Drive Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM) activities across the site.
• Support engineers with complex breakdowns and fault finding.
• Use Root Cause Analysis to identify recurring problems and implement permanent solutions.
