Job summary

Safran Aerosystems in Braintree is seeking a Logistics Officer to support stores, goods-in and dispatch functions on a 6-month contract. You will coordinate deliveries with UK and international freight agents, and ensure stock accuracy and compliance with safety procedures.

The role requires experience in logistics or warehousing, strong organizational skills and clear communication with internal teams. On-site work with forklift handling and freight coordination is included.

Qualifications

• Experience in logistics, stores, warehouse, goods-in or dispatch environments.
• Excellent organizational skills and meticulous record-keeping.
• Strong communication with internal teams, customers and freight agents.

Responsibilities

• Receive, count and record stock using internal systems.
• Pack, unpack and store materials in an organized manner.
• Carry out regular stock checks and inventory counts.
• Support Stores, Goods In and Dispatch activities daily.
• Move and load/unload materials safely with equipment including forklifts.
• Issue materials to workshop teams against requisitions.
• Coordinate deliveries with UK and overseas customers and freight agents.
• Process air and sea freight shipments and provide clearance instructions.
