Aerospace GSE Engineer – Heathrow

Job summary

OCS UK & Ireland is recruiting a Service and Repair Engineer to support the Heathrow portfolio. You will perform planned and preventative maintenance on aerospace ground support equipment, ensure safety and quality standards, and work within a 20-person site team.

A valid airside pass, DBS clearance, and a full driving licence are required. You will join an award-winning facilities management group with strong training, GMP adherence, and ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• Qualified to City & Guilds, NVQ or HNC/ HND level in a relevant trade.
• Further enhanced experience/ qualification in a supporting skills or trades such as welding and hydraulic systems would be advantageous.
• Inspection of tooling capabilities through a recognised qualification would be advantageous.
• Experience of aerospace specific systems and tooling.
• Experience of safe working practices and permit to work systems.
• Demonstrable skills in dealing and working closely with internal and external customers and suppliers on complex issues.
• Be able to communicate effectively and have a flexible approach to work patterns.
• An airside security pass will be required; candidate must pass DBS and have five years of references.
• Driving licence is essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide planned maintenance in a highly regulated environment.
• Deliver a high output of pre-planned maintenance tasks across client sites.
• Conduct preventative maintenance and replace worn parts for smooth operation.
• Identify damage outside contract scope and prepare BOMs with time estimates.
• Support the statutory inspection team in identifying non-compliant equipment and conduct inspections when required.
• Assist in preparation of estimates and quotations; adhere to all safety and quality procedures.
