Job summary

The Recruitment Company is seeking an experienced GSE Technician to join the airside engineering team at Stansted Airport. You will maintain and repair a wide range of Ground Support Equipment critical to daily flight operations.

Responsibilities include diagnosing faults in mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems, performing preventative maintenance, and responding to urgent repair requests on the airfield. A full UK driving licence is preferred for some roles.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical Engineering / Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent.
• GSE, HGVs, plant or heavy vehicles experience.
• Strong knowledge of hydraulics, diesel engines and electrical systems.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, safety-critical environment.
• Full UK driving licence (C1 or HGV beneficial but not essential).

Responsibilities

• Carry out maintenance, servicing and repairs on a variety of GSE including baggage handling equipment, tow tractors, ground power units and air conditioning units.
• Diagnose faults across mechanical, hydraulic and electrical systems.
• Perform preventative maintenance inspections and keep accurate service records.
• Respond to breakdowns and urgent repair requests on the airfield.
• Maintain accurate service and repair records.
