Job summary

First Recruitment Group is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer for a contract role at Heathrow to support electrical maintenance across a complex infrastructure and develop maintenance procedures and PPM documentation. You will ensure compliance with UK regulations, assist with risk assessments, and provide technical guidance to ensure safe, reliable asset operation across sites.

The ideal candidate holds a relevant degree, CEng or IEng or working toward, 5–10+ years in aviation or similar

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical/Electronic/Control Engineering or equivalent.
• CEng or IEng status, or working toward professional registration.
• 5–10+ years of engineering experience in relevant sectors.
• Strong knowledge of electrical design, maintenance practices and installation requirements in aviation or similar industries.

Responsibilities

• Develop Electrical Maintenance Procedures, Risk Assessments and PPM documentation.
• Support rollout and implementation of maintenance procedures across sites.
• Identify gaps in maintenance processes and plan corrective actions.
• Provide technical guidance on electrical maintenance, installation requirements and best practices.
• Ensure activities align with industry regulations, standards and guidance.
• Support compliance related to hazardous area electrical installations and explosive atmospheres.
• Contribute to risk identification, assessment and management.
• Engage with stakeholders to promote safe and effective maintenance practices.
• Provide support on electrical safety, asset integrity and operational reliability.
