Parker Meggitt is hiring a General Assembly Operator in Fareham to manufacture and test aerospace components in a safety‑critical environment. You will perform precision assembly and welding, interpret engineering drawings, and support continuous improvement within a day shift, full‑time role.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in mechanical assembly within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
• Experience carrying out intricate TIG or rotary welding on small or precision components.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications and work instructions.
• Strong attention to detail with a clear understanding of quality standards in a safety‑critical environment.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles; aerospace or NADCAP-regulated experience would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Perform precision assembly and manufacturing operations in line with engineering drawings and build specifications.
• Carry out TIG or rotary welding activities on small, intricate aerospace components.
• Conduct testing, measurement and inspection activities to ensure product quality and compliance.
• Set up and use assembly fixtures, tooling and equipment safely and effectively.
• Support continuous improvement, housekeeping and lean manufacturing initiatives across the production area.
