Job summary

Bodycote, a global leader in heat treatment and thermal processing, is seeking a Furnace Operator in Chard. You will join a small team to heat treat aerospace and medical components, operate furnaces, prepare parts, and ensure quality and safety standards are met.

You’ll follow procedures, monitor processes, support production flow, and assist with goods in/out. The role includes FLT operation and First Aid duties (training provided), with occasional local driving and a commitment to a safe,

Qualifications

• Engineering or manufacturing background.
• Numeracy skills and attention to detail.
• Basic IT skills; spreadsheets advantageous.
• Ability to follow procedures and quality standards.
• Flexible, team-focused with willingness to train.

Responsibilities

• Operate furnaces and process customer parts to meet quality and safety standards.
• Follow written procedures and monitor processes to maintain output.
• Assist with goods in/out activities.
