Job summary

MERITUS is recruiting a Mechanical Systems Installation Design Engineer for our aerospace client at Filton on a 9-month, fully onsite contract. The role sits in the Fuel Systems Installation Wing Engineering Design Team across multiple programs and involves end-to-end installation design work.

You will use Catia V5 and related tools to deliver optimized installation solutions, collaborate with a multinational team, and support in-service fleet and wing build activities.

Qualifications

• Experience in aerospace design processes and end-to-end installation design.
• Proficiency with Catia V5 and related design tools.
• Strong communication and team-working abilities in a multinational environment.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to end-to-end design from conceptual design to manufacturing support.
• Design and validation of fuel system installation components, optimizing weight, cost, and performance with safety in mind.
• Deliver the Definition Dossier for Manufacturing and Assembly.
• Define and enable technical studies and investigations per Design Methods and Procedures.
• Develop design concepts and support real-life installation trials, prototyping, and in-service fleet support.
