Job summary

Safran in Cwmbran, operating under a hybrid model, is seeking an Engineering Project Lead to drive technical leadership from proposal through to product launch and service entry. You will work with engineering, programme and manufacturing teams to ensure products meet technical requirements while achieving quality, cost and schedule targets.

The role requires a degree in engineering, strong leadership across multidisciplinary teams, and excellent communication with stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering (Aerospace, Mechanical or related discipline).
• Strong understanding of the product development lifecycle.
• Experience in aerospace/defence manufacturing preferred, but automotive/pharma backgrounds okay.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate engineering activities to deliver project objectives.
• Support project planning: schedules, budgets, risks and mitigations.
• Monitor progress across multidisciplinary teams and resolve technical challenges.
• Provide regular project status updates to stakeholders and customers.
• Manage technical requirements, specs and engineering changes through lifecycle.
• Contribute to design reviews and key milestones to ensure high-quality deliverables.
• Collaborate with customers, partners and internal teams to meet programme commitments.
