Job summary

Safran is seeking a Project Manager (Technical) to lead complex engineering development programmes across UK sites, including UK, France and US partners. You will drive performance from concept to entry into service, ensuring delivery against cost, quality, schedule and customer commitments.

You will coordinate cross-functional teams, manage stakeholders, and champion Safran’s development processes and digital tools in a regulated aerospace environment.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering, Systems Engineering or related technical discipline, or equivalent experience.
• Proven experience leading complex engineering development programmes within aerospace/defence or regulated industries.
• Strong track record delivering against cost, schedule and quality targets.
• Experience managing customer relationships and engaging with senior stakeholders.
• Able to lead multi-disciplinary, geographically dispersed teams including suppliers and external partners.
• Knowledge of project/programme management methodologies (APM, PMI) and stage-gate/PLM processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, execution and delivery of engineering development programmes to meet objectives for cost, quality and schedule.
• Manage programme governance, risk management and decision-making; escalate key issues to leadership.
• Own project schedules, budgets and milestones from contract award to entry into service.
• Interface with customers, partners, suppliers and internal stakeholders to maintain alignment.
• Lead cross-functional Integrated Programme Teams across UK, France and US sites.
• Manage risks, opportunities, changes and configuration control; assess impacts.
• Develop and maintain dashboards, governance reviews and performance reporting for leadership.
• Champion continuous improvement and effective use of Safran development processes and tools.
