Job summary

Druck, part of Crane Aerospace & Electronics, is seeking an Embedded Software Development Engineer (Fixed-Term) for onsite work in Leicester, UK. You will develop embedded software in C for bare-metal platforms, implement low-level drivers, and contribute to DO-178C compliant qualification activities.

Ideal candidates will have DO-178C/B/C experience, DAL-A qualification involvement, and hands-on hardware/EDA interface knowledge, supported by strong problem-solving abilities and self-starting

Qualifications

• Proficient in embedded software development using C for bare-metal applications.
• Experience working with DO-178B/C standards and AS9100 quality management.
• Experience developing software to DAL-A standards and related test/qualification activities.
• Experience writing highly optimised code for resource-constrained hardware with hard real-time requirements.
• Strong understanding of embedded hardware, microcontrollers and interfaces.
• Experience using oscilloscopes and DVMs.

Responsibilities

• Develop embedded software in C, including low-level drivers, per project DO-178C requirements.
• Participate in requirements capture and design reviews.
• Create design documentation and support qualification activities.
• Contribute to code, requirements, and document reviews.
• Support continuous improvement to deliver robust solutions.
