Job summary

Ontic Engineering & Manufacturing Limited in Cheltenham is seeking Electronic Assembly & Test Technicians to join our Operations team at the Bishop Cleeve site. You will support the assembly and testing of aerospace products trusted by customers worldwide.

Role involves reading engineering drawings, building LRUs, performing environmental and final testing, and recording activities in ERP/MRP systems to ensure high aerospace quality. You'll contribute to lean manufacturing and on-time delivery.

Qualifications

• Able to read engineering drawings, schematics, work instructions and technical documentation.
• Excellent manual dexterity and meticulous attention to detail.
• Good computer skills and experience using manufacturing systems, with a proactive approach to quality.
• Aerospace manufacturing experience.
• Experience in a Part 21G and/or CofC environment.
• Mechanical or Electrical Apprenticeship.
• Antenna assembly or testing experience.
• RF knowledge.
• Experience working to aerospace quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Assemble electronic products and sub-assemblies using engineering drawings, build manuals and controlled procedures.
• Build and inspect complex Line Replaceable Units (LRUs).
• Conduct environmental and final product testing using approved test procedures.
• Record production activities in ERP/MRP systems to ensure traceability and quality.
• Follow safe working practices while contributing to continuous improvement and lean manufacturing.
• Collaborate to meet production targets and customer delivery commitments.
