Job summary

GE Aerospace is seeking an Assembly Technician to assemble, test and perform pre-release inspection of OE and R&O control unit equipment across military and civil platforms. The role demands precision, traceability and compliance in a skilled manufacturing environment.

Experience in mechanical assembly or testing, the ability to interpret detailed manuals and drawings, and UK right-to-work with BPSS clearance are essential.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in mechanical assembly and/or testing in manufacturing or engineering environments.
• Ability to interpret technical manuals, drawings and work instructions.
• Proficient PC skills and production-related software.

Responsibilities

• Assemble products per manuals, drawings and build instructions.
• Set up and operate test rigs for production acceptance testing and record results.
• Use test equipment to verify performance and diagnose faults.
• Investigate non-conformances with engineering/quality teams and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain high quality with traceability and regulatory compliance throughout build and test.
