Job summary

Based in Yeovil, Morson Edge is seeking a Project Engineer for an initial 6-month contract with aerospace clients. You will own engineering deliverables, ensuring time, cost and quality targets are met while maintaining regulatory compliance.

You will act as IPT focal point for platform ACPE, coordinating across cross-functional teams, managing certification plans, and solving integration issues to deliver safe, airworthy solutions.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years’ experience in a relevant aerospace role.
• A good working knowledge of helicopter engineering is essential.
• A detailed knowledge of aircraft airworthiness and safety requirements and procedures.
• Experience with Test and Evaluation.
• The ability to communicate well within the Company, and with external agencies.
• Experience of working in cross-functional team environments.
• Experience with leading technical tasks and/or small multi-functional teams.
• Familiarity with the Engineering Directorate’s organisation and structure.

Responsibilities

• Be accountable for the engineering aspects programme/project implementation on time, on costs, and on quality in full adherence with key requirements.
• Represent the Platform ACPE as IPT prime engineering focal point for the project or platform.
• Ensure design solutions satisfy customer requirements and regulatory criteria with appropriate compliance evidence.
• Certification compliance plans and test/evaluation plans are created and satisfied as part of the design process.
• Solve design integration issues where more than one system is involved.
• Apply the appropriate Configuration Management processes.
• Manage the drawing structure and modifications to the fleet.

Morson Edge are currently recruiting for a Project Engineer to be based in Yeovil, on behalf of our Aerospace clients on an initial 6-month contract.

Job Purpose

• The job Holder shall be responsible to the ACPE.
• The Job Holder shall ensure that design solutions satisfy customer requirements and regulatory criteria, and that appropriate compliance evidence is produced and presented. In performing this function the Job Holder will hold delegated design authority as described in the Airworthiness Approvals List.
• Working in conjunction with the Engineering Heads of Departments/CPs/TTLs, the Job Holder is to ensure that appropriate resource levels are applied to Engineering activities in a timely manner to support Engineering schedule requirements.
• The job holder will be the IPT prime engineering focal point representing the Platform ACPE for specific project or platform by:

• Interacting directly with the D&D CP’s to ensure understanding of the adherence to the schedule in terms of cost and schedule

• Applying the appropriate Configuration Management processes
• Managing the drawing structure and the applicability of any modification to the fleet
