Job summary

AMS Ltd is seeking a Planner for a 12-month contract based in Derby. You will join the Design & Make Aftermarket Procurement team to develop and maintain demand forecasts for a large civil aerospace engine fleet, ensuring suppliers have visibility of future requirements.

You will analyse large datasets, align forecasts with suppliers, and support capacity planning and risk mitigation, using Power BI and Excel to produce reports and dashboards.

Qualifications

• Experience in planning, forecasting, demand management or procurement roles.
• Strong data analysis skills to interrogate large datasets.
• Advanced Excel and Power BI for reporting and dashboards.
• Experience forecasting in a complex, aerospace/industrial environment.
• Excellent stakeholder management and relationship building.

Responsibilities

• Create and manage aftermarket demand forecasts for a diverse engine fleet.
• Analyse large datasets daily to identify trends and inform decisions.
• Collaborate with suppliers to align demand forecasts and resolve discrepancies.
• Share forecast information with suppliers to ensure visibility of future demand.
• Lead supplier review meetings on forecast performance and risks.
• Evaluate SIOP demand and supply plans and assist mitigation activities.
• Produce dashboards and reports using Power BI and Excel.
