Job description - the role
Purpose of the role:
- Join the Design & Make Aftermarket Procurement team, supporting the performance of Civil Aerospace Line Replaceable Unit (LRU) suppliers across a global aftermarket network.
- Develop and maintain accurate demand forecasts for a large commercial engine fleet, ensuring suppliers have visibility of future requirements to support capacity, capability, and parts availability.
- Act as a key link between Aftermarket Operations, Value Stream teams and suppliers, identifying supply risks and driving actions to support customer demand.
What you'll do:
- Create and manage aftermarket demand forecasts across a diverse fleet of civil aerospace engines, from legacy platforms through to newer engine programmes.
- Analyse large datasets daily to identify trends, validate forecasts and support decision-making.
- Work closely with a network of suppliers to align demand forecasts and resolve discrepancies.
- Share forecast information with suppliers on a regular basis, ensuring they have visibility of future demand requirements.
- Lead and participate in supplier review meetings, discussing forecast performance, capacity planning and supply risks.
- Evaluate Sales, Inventory & Operations Planning (SIOP) demand and supply plans, identifying risks and supporting mitigation activities.
- Produce and maintain reports, dashboards and performance review packs using Power BI and Excel.
The skills you'll need:
- Previous experience in planning, forecasting, demand management, supply chain or procurement-related roles.
- Strong data analysis skills, with the ability to interrogate large datasets and draw meaningful conclusions.
- Advanced Excel and Power BI skills, including reporting, data manipulation and dashboard creation.
- Experience developing and managing demand forecasts in a complex operational environment.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence both internal teams and external suppliers.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making capabilities, with a proactive approach to identifying and mitigating risks.
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
