Job summary

Rolls-Royce invites applications for a Services Cost Officer based in Derby. You will define robust cost strategies for Trent 1000/7000, baseline cost assumptions, and evaluate the impact of cost reduction proposals to underpin profitability and business performance.

You’ll influence business cases, forecast financials, and build processes that balance availability, cost, and performance across engines in service and future programs.

Qualifications

• Educated to degree level or equivalent in a numerate or business discipline or will have business, finance or engineering experience.
• Innovative thinking and a drive to solve problems and take accountability.
• Financial management, commercial acumen and decision‑making skills, comfortable dealing with ambiguity.
• Highly analytical and able to interpret data and complete data modelling using Microsoft Excel.
• Able to communicate effectively and work collaboratively across diverse and global teams.
• Aerospace industry knowledge is advantageous but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Develop a thorough understanding of the levers of value inherent in our business, and through these own and drive the financial performance of our fleets.
• Support development of Business Cases & Strategy to support key product change and deliver Business Plan objectives.
• Responsibility for analysing and forecasting financial information to support development and improvement of our financial forecasts.
• Develop, deploy, and support functional processes, tools, training, and systems that enable the creation of credible plans that balance availability, cost, and performance.
