Job summary
Safran Seats in Hemel Hempstead is seeking an experienced Configuration Manager to lead, develop, and maintain the CMS for aerospace programmes. You will ensure configuration control, traceability, and governance across product lifecycles, aligning with QMS and group processes.
You will own engineering change control, drive standardisation, generate CM data and reports, support Windchill PLM deployment, and collaborate with Change and Programme teams to embed configuration management across
Qualifications
- Degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Structural Engineering (or equivalent).
- CMII Level 6 certification relevant to configuration management.
- Significant experience with PLM systems and engineering data.
Responsibilities
- Lead and continuously improve the CMS to meet regulatory and customer requirements.
- Own and optimize the engineering change control process and CCB governance.
- Drive standardisation of configuration practices aligned with group processes.
- Produce CM data and reports across project lifecycles.
- Assess changes and implement improvements to CM processes.
- Collaborate with Change/Programme teams to embed CM in delivery.
- Support Windchill PLM deployment and improvements.
- Analyze CMS performance and drive efficiency gains.
