Job summary

WF Tech in Watford, Hertfordshire, is recruiting a CNC Turner - Setter / Programmer for a precision engineering company supplying aerospace components. You will set, program and operate Doosan CNC lathes with Fanuc controls, machining stainless steel, aluminium, brass, titanium and other materials.

The role covers prototype and small to medium batch work with tight tolerances and high quality. You will edit and optimise programs, work closely with production, and ensure efficient manufacturing

Qualifications

• Experience setting and programming CNC lathes with Fanuc controls.
• Reading and interpreting engineering drawings to tight tolerances.
• Ability to work with exotic alloys and various materials.

Responsibilities

• Set, program and operate Doosan CNC lathes to produce precision components.
• Manufacture parts from drawings for prototype and small-to-medium batches.
• Perform first-off and in-process inspection to ensure quality.
• Edit and optimise programs to maintain quality and efficiency.
• Maintain high standards of quality, accuracy and housekeeping.
