Job summary

Moog is seeking an apprentice-trained CNC Setter Operator (Mill/Turn) for onsite work at Wolverhampton. The role involves setting up and operating multiple CNC machines, performing first-off inspections and recording quality data in a high-precision environment.

Applicants should have an engineering apprenticeship, multi-axis machining experience, and proficiency with inspection tools to meet drawing tolerances. BPSS clearance is required; shift pattern may include early or late rotations.

Qualifications

• Apprentice-trained with strong machining knowledge.
• Experience in a machine shop environment, preferably aerospace.
• Proficient in multi-axis/complex machining and tooling.
• Proficient in inspection techniques and achieving drawing tolerances.
• Experience on mill/turn CNC machines (Okuma, Mazak, Lathe, DMG, Matsura, Puma).

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate multiple CNC machines/processes.
• Perform first-off inspections and complete quality documentation.
• Capable of setting up and using machine tools.
• Carry out own first-off inspection and document results.
• Maintain quality records and contribute to process improvements.
• Work in a busy machine shop environment with precision tooling.
