Job summary

Optical Precision in Hemel Hempstead is seeking a CNC Grinder (Studer) for the late shift to join our aerospace manufacturing team. This full-time, on-site role focuses on setting and operating Studer grinding machines to ensure high-precision components are produced efficiently.

You'll work Monday to Thursday, 6 PM to 4 AM, with overtime at enhanced rates; the position offers permanent employment, a collaborative environment, and access to company benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience setting and operating Studer CNC grinders.
• Able to read and interpret engineering drawings with precision.
• Nice to have understanding of trigonometry and basic maths.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment and working to tight tolerances.

Responsibilities

• Set, operate, and manage CNC grinding equipment (Studer).
• Monitor machining processes and adjust settings as needed.
• Perform in-process quality checks to aerospace tolerances.
• Interpret drawings accurately and document results.
• Maintain safe working practices and comply with standards.
• Collaborate with the team to ensure high-quality output.
• Support basic machine maintenance and care.
