Job summary

Moog Aircraft Group in Wolverhampton is seeking an apprentice trained, experienced Manual / CNC Grinder to join the team on night shifts after training. You will work on Studer machines, machining exotic and hardened materials, and perform 1st off inspection.

The role requires a recognised engineering apprenticeship, careful attention to tolerance (0.00005"), and the ability to set and run multiple machines. Night shift includes a generous shift allowance.

Qualifications

• A recognised engineering apprenticeship.
• Mate grinding experience required.
• Previous aerospace/manufacturing experience.
• Good knowledge of machining techniques and tooling.
• Attention to detail and accuracy, process improvement.
• Use inspection techniques to achieve drawing tolerance.

Responsibilities

• Operate and set Manual Studer S20/RM250 and CNC Studer S33/S31 machines.
• Carry out 1st off inspection and complete quality documentation.
• Perform precision manual land grinding to 0.00005" tolerance.
• Work night shift and be able to run multiple machines.
