Job summary

Senior Bird Bellows is seeking an experienced Automated TIG Welder for its aerospace manufacturing team. You will set up, program, and operate automated TIG welding machines to produce precision components that meet strict quality and industry standards.

The role requires reading engineering drawings, following job cards, and maintaining NADCAP-compliant records. A background in welding on thin materials (0.4mm–3mm) and NVQ 3 in Welding is desirable. 4-day week and pension benefits included.

Qualifications

• The ideal candidate will have solid experience with automated TIG welding on thin materials between 0.4mm and 3mm thick.
• NVQ Level 3 in Welding Engineering is desirable.
• Must be able to inspect work to company and customer standards, read engineering drawings, follow job cards, and interpret welding procedures accurately.

Responsibilities

• Operate automated TIG welding machines to manufacture precision components and assemblies.
• Programme and set welding parameters for optimal performance and quality.
• Read and interpret drawings and work instructions to ensure manufacture to specification.
• Maintain accurate production and quality records per aerospace and NADCAP requirements.
