Job summary

Safran Landing Systems in Gloucester is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to join a multi-skilled team. You will maintain production equipment, diagnose faults on mechanical systems, interpret drawings and support CNC tools.

A time-served apprenticeship or NVQ Level 3 is essential, with CMMS and PLC/HMI experience highly regarded. Role operates on a 5-shift rota (mornings/afternoons/nights) with occasional weekend support; health, safety and continuous improvement practices are emphasised.

Qualifications

• Completed a time-served engineering maintenance apprenticeship (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent) or possess demonstrable maintenance engineering experience.
• Strong fault-finding and repair experience on mechanical systems (hydraulics, pneumatics, gearboxes or machine tools).
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, assemblies and schematics.
• Experience using CMMS to manage maintenance activities.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative and reactive maintenance on production equipment.
• Diagnose faults and perform repairs on complex mechanical systems.
• Interpret engineering drawings, schematics and technical documentation.
• Support maintenance and optimisation of CNC machine tools and associated equipment.
• Navigate PLC controls and HMIs to assist with fault finding.
