Job summary

Safran Landing Systems in Gloucester seeks a Principal Systems Engineer to drive the development of aircraft landing gear systems, including structures, hydraulics, and electrical harnesses. You will lead planning, requirements capture, validation, verification, and supplier management to meet customer needs and regulatory requirements.

You will mentor engineers, author essential documentation, and collaborate across disciplines in a global aerospace environment.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of Systems Engineering principles and requirements management.
• Experience in validation and verification activities and producing evidence.

Responsibilities

• Lead system development planning and requirements capture across levels.
• Coordinate validation/verification activities and supplier management for equipment like actuators, hoses, and electrical harnessing.
• Write and maintain systems engineering documentation (requirements, descriptions, matrices, DDP dossiers).
• Provide leadership to junior and senior engineers within the team.
