Job summary

Honeywell Aerospace in Yeovil seeks an Advanced Project Engineer to drive complex aerospace projects across ECS, Hydraulics and Life Support Systems. You will develop project plans, monitor progress, and coordinate design reviews to ensure products meet schedule and cost targets.

The role requires a mechanical/aerospace degree, strong communication, and experience in a project engineering environment with supplier and lifecycle understanding.

Qualifications

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience in a project engineering environment.
• Understanding of engineering lifecycle from conception to commissioning.
• Experience using Microsoft Project or similar forecasting tools.
• Experience working with suppliers and integrated supply chains.

Responsibilities

• Create project plans, schedules and milestones using earned value metrics.
• Maintain project plans to ensure milestone adherence and on-time delivery.
• Create and monitor work packages for internal suppliers.
• Build relationships with internal/external customers to ensure completion.
• Ensure projects stay within cost, quality and time targets.
• Manage requirements, including validation and allocation.
• Lead design reviews in line with procedures.
• Manage project risks and mitigation plans.
