Job summary

Alpine Formula One Team is seeking an Aero Simulation and Correlation Student Placement for a 1-year period starting in July 2027. You will join the Aerodynamic Performance group to support correlation and simulation projects that drive aero development for the race car.

You will work with engineers to develop data analysis workflows, contribute to CFD studies, and help apply aerodynamic insights to car performance, while gaining exposure to high-performance motorsport and onsite assessment in

Qualifications

• Currently studying for an engineering degree (e.g., Aeronautical, Mechanical, Automotive) and seeking an industry placement in your penultimate year
• Strong understanding of fluid dynamics and aerodynamic principles
• Knowledge of wind tunnel experimental techniques and computational fluid simulations beneficial
• Experience with scientific programming, data visualization, and statistical data analysis
• Familiarity with vehicle dynamics and race-car performance factors is beneficial
• Passion for motorsport and a proactive, analytical mindset
• You must have the right to work in the UK, as we cannot provide sponsorship for this role
• Be available to attend onsite for an assessment centre in September

Responsibilities

• Assist in projects understanding how the aero behavior on the race car correlates to our tools
