Job summary

ALPINE RACING LIMITED in the UK is seeking an Aero Modelling Student Placement for a 1-year program starting July 2027. You will join our Aerodynamic Modelling group, combining physics, simulation and data science to develop and refine aerodynamic models and tools for car performance analysis.

The role involves researching, implementing and deploying solutions using statistical analysis and ML/AI to extract insights from aerodynamic datasets.

Qualifications

• Currently studying for a degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Engineering, Maths, Physics) and seeking an industry placement in your penultimate year of university.
• Strong understanding of fluid dynamics and aerodynamic principles.
• Demonstrable interest in developing statistical modelling and analysis solutions with Python or Matlab.
• Familiarity with vehicle dynamics and race-car performance factors is beneficial.
• Passion for motorsport and a proactive, analytical mindset.
• You must have the right to work in the UK; sponsorship not available.
• Be available to attend onsite for an assessment centre in September.

Responsibilities
