Job summary

Alpine Racing Limited offers an Aero Modelling Student Placement to work on modelling, simulation, and data-driven analysis for performance improvement. You’ll apply ML/AI techniques to aerodynamic datasets and support the design and optimisation of concepts.

You’ll research, implement and deploy modelling solutions, collaborating with cross-functional teams while developing your skills in fluid dynamics and race-car performance.

Qualifications

• Currently studying for a degree in a quantitative field (Engineering, Maths, Physics) and in penultimate year.
• Strong understanding of fluid dynamics and aerodynamic principles.
• Demonstrable interest in developing statistical modelling and analysis solutions with significant programming experience in Python or Matlab.
• Familiarity with vehicle dynamics and race-car performance factors is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing and validating aerodynamic models and simulation tools.
• Analyse airflow behaviour and aerodynamic performance trends.
• Develop data analysis and visualisation workflows.
• Collaborate with design and performance teams to apply insights.
