Job summary

Williams F1 Team seeks an Aerodynamic AI Engineer to bridge aerodynamic engineering and artificial intelligence. You will develop ML models for CFD data analysis, build surrogate models for aerodynamic predictions, and create AI-driven mesh generation tools.

You will collaborate with aerodynamicists and CFD engineers in a fast-paced environment and ensure robust, scalable AI solutions for aerodynamic development.

Qualifications

• Proven experience developing and deploying AI/ML models for scientific or engineering applications.
• Strong proficiency in Python with PyTorch.
• Understanding of computational geometry and mesh generation.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deploy AI models for CFD data analysis to support aerodynamic decisions.
• Build surrogate models for aerodynamic predictions, focusing on fluid dynamics.
• Develop AI-driven mesh generation and automated geometry tools for aerodynamics.
• Analyze wind tunnel data including drift detection and anomaly identification.
• Maintain CI/CD pipelines for AI model deployment with high code quality.
• Collaborate with aerodynamicists and CFD engineers to translate requirements into AI solutions.
• Stay current with emerging AI tech relevant to CFD and aerodynamics.
• Identify AI-driven opportunities to improve development efficiency within cost caps.
