Alecto Recruitment Limited is recruiting a Powered Access Engineer/MEWP Engineer for East Sussex and the South East. You will service MEWPs, scissor lifts, cherry pickers, boom lifts and telehandlers across customer sites.

Role includes servicing, PPMs, breakdowns, fault-finding, LOLER inspections and on-site support with a company van, fuel card and overtime. An annual bonus of £1,200 is also offered and training opportunities are provided.

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical, hydraulic and electrical skills required.
• Experience on powered access, MEWPs or similar equipment.
• Valid UK driving licence and IPAF qualification preferred or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Servicing, PPMs and breakdown repairs on MEWPs and related equipment.
• Mechanical, hydraulic and electrical fault-finding and diagnostics.
• Conduct LOLER inspections and ensure compliance.
• Customer site visits and on-site technical support, reporting accurately.

Your hours

What you'll be doing

As a field-based service engineer, you'll work independently on powered access equipment and plant, including MEWPs, scissor lifts, cherry pickers, boom lifts, mast lifts and telehandlers:

• Servicing, planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and breakdown repairs
• Mechanical, hydraulic and electrical fault-finding
• Diagnostics on powered access and access platform equipment
• LOLER inspections and thorough examinations
• Customer site visits and technical support
• Accurate service, inspection and compliance reporting

The ability to explain how a relay works. If you can talk us through it clearly, you'll be well placed to handle the electrical fault-finding on this job.

• Strong mechanical, hydraulic and electrical skills
• Experience on powered access, MEWPs, plant or similar equipment
• A full UK driving licence
• IPAF qualification (or you're willing to get it)
• LOLER experience (desirable, not essential)
• The confidence to work alone on customer sites and deliver great service
