Job summary

Applied Intuition Defence UK is seeking a highly skilled GNC Engineer to design, implement, and test flight autonomy software for diverse aerial platforms. You will contribute to core software that powers warfighter capabilities across air and other domains, with a focus on robust GNC algorithms and safety.

You will collaborate with defense partners, integrate with PX4/ArduPilot, and participate in flight testing and data analysis leveraging C++ in a Linux environment.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in a relevant engineering field is required.
• 6+ years of hands-on GNC software development experience.
• Experience with C++ for autonomy software development.
• Experience with flight testing and data analysis.
• Familiarity with UAS GNC/navigation systems like PX4/ArduPilot.
• Strong background in control theory, dynamics and optimization.

Responsibilities

• Design, integrate, and test core flight autonomy capabilities across UAS platforms.
• Develop and adapt GNC algorithms for multiple programs.
• Collaborate with external UAS vendors to integrate software onto OEM hardware.
