Job summary

Applied Intuition Defence in London seeks a Guidance, Navigation & Control Engineer to design, integrate, and test core flight autonomy for aerial UAS platforms. You will contribute to reusable software powering multiple programs, collaborating across teams to tailor GNC algorithms to each project's needs.

You will progressively build autonomy software architectures, test on real aircrafts and simulators, and support flight testing with rigorous data analysis.

Qualifications

• Requires advanced degree in a relevant field.
• Extensive experience with GNC software for autonomous systems.
• Strong C++ development for autonomy applications.

Responsibilities

• Design, integrate and test core flight autonomy capabilities for aerial UAS.
• Develop and adapt GNC algorithms for multiple programs.
• Contribute to reusable software components powering several programs.

Skills

Master's degree in Aerospace or CS

6+ years GNC software experience

C++ autonomous systems

Outer-loop control / path planning

Control theory, dynamics, optimization

3DoF/6DoF aviation models

Flight testing & data analysis

UAS GNC/navigation systems (PX4, ArduP

General programming (functional/OO)

Education

Master's degree in Aerospace, Robotics, Electrical, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science or similar
