Job summary

London Borough of Havering is advertising an Advisory Teacher – Communication and Interaction within the C&I Support Team. The role supports schools and settings, delivers modelling and training, and works with Educational Psychologists and therapists to enhance practice.

The post is permanent, linked to Experts at Hand funding, with a tailored induction and hybrid working options. An enhanced DBS is required and closing date is 20.08.26.

Responsibilities

• support schools, colleges and settings via Team Around the School and other meetings
• work closely with a team of specialist staff to embed the Team Around the School delivery model
• work collaboratively to deploy and support C&I Advisors
• contribute to indirect, consultancy based multi-agency working with schools and parents to achieve goals
• offer a solution focused, collaborative approach
• ensure school, colleges and settings have the practitioner skills to effectively support children and young people in their educational setting
