Job summary

Newport Pagnell Medical Centre in Newport Pagnell is recruiting for an advanced urology nurse practitioner to join our practice in the Queens Avenue building. This part-time role is 16 hours per week, working Tuesday and Wednesday, providing autonomous assessment and management of urological conditions within a primary care setting with direct referrals as appropriate.

You will work with a multidisciplinary team, undertake diagnostic tests, and ensure cost-effective, evidence-based service

Qualifications

Professional registration with NMC, HCPC or GPhC.
Post-graduate qualification in urology or related specialty, or equivalent experience.
Evidence of on-going CPD.
Advanced clinical assessment skills.
Ability to perform in stressful and complex situations.
Flexibility in attitude and behaviour.
Ability to inspire and lead a team.

Responsibilities

Undertake autonomous advanced nursing practice delivering holistic care for urological conditions.
Triage referrals to the service and manage assessment, diagnosis and treatment.
Work with multidisciplinary team and make direct referrals as needed.
Undertake and interpret a range of diagnostic tests and procedures.
Adhere to professional guidelines and practice policies.
Ensure cost-effective, evidence-based service provision.
Counsel and support patients.
