Job summary

Community Integrated Care in Inverness is recruiting a Bank Advanced Support Worker to support a young gentleman with autism, learning disability, anxiety and obsessive-compulsive disorder. The role emphasises building routines, ensuring safety and consistency, and developing trusting relationships with the person you support.

You will join a forward-thinking team in a modern environment, with ongoing training, progression opportunities and pay for DBS/PVG.

This gentleman struggles with his mental health, with diagnosis of Autistic Spectrum Disorder, Mild-Moderate Learning Disability, Anxiety, and obsessive -compulsive disorder. So is looking for understanding and positive people to join his team to help him navigate his challenges and live an amazing, happy and the Best Life Bolder. A background in supporting people with autism, obsessive -compulsive disorder would be desirable.

As an Advanced support worker, you will help this gentleman with his routines, experiences in structure and ensuring consistency which is very important as he needs to feel regulated and safe. You will need to be highly supportive and trustworthy with a skill set that can build positive relationships which will be important in maintaining his wellbeing.

He enjoys physical activities, especially badminton and walking so if you share these interests then please get in touch as you would be a great fit! This gentleman also values his family and enjoys spending time with them.

About you:

The ideal candidate will have a Level 3 in Social Care and strong experience in mental health, autism and forensic background. If you do not have a qualification, you will need to have experience in social care.

You will know how to connect with people and be passionate about supporting people to live independently. You will also be a brilliant mentor and share your skills and experiences with your colleagues.
