This is an exciting opportunity to support one individual with complex mental health needs. The person is interested in walking, shopping, meeting new people, and visiting Liverpool 1. She values her family and building positive relationships. She prefers a quiet environment at times.
Ideal candidates will have experience in health or social care, a positive attitude, and a passion for supporting community integration. Experience with challenging behaviors and positive support planning is essential.
Support shifts are 8am-8pm, 2 to 1 support. Night shifts are 8pm-8am, with some sleep-in shifts available. Experience in complex mental health and understanding positive behavior support are required.
The ideal candidate will have a Level 3 in Social Care and experience in mental health, autism, sensory communication, and physical health. If you lack a qualification, relevant social care experience is necessary.
You should connect well with people, be passionate about supporting independence, and willing to share your skills with colleagues. We will support your development through specialist training, including Positive Behaviour Support, Makaton, and the Picture Exchange System.
During recruitment, you will meet the individuals supported in their homes to understand their personalities and support needs.
