Who you’ll be supporting & more about the role: We are Griffin Lodge, set in large grounds and close links to Stockport and Manchester, we’re a brilliant place to live and work. Griffin Lodge is a Residential care home and we have 12 people living here, who all have their own rooms with an en-suite bathroom and they all share a communal living area. We are 9 gentlemen and 3 ladies ranging between 20-50 – we are all brilliant and have a great sense of humour, we all have different personalities and interests. We each have our own personalised support plans and care packages, making sure we are supported in a person-centred way.
Our home is based in Heald Green and is very close to the motorway, Manchester Airport and also good bus routes. The train station is only a 20-minute walk away. There is a large supermarket and other amenities nearby and lots of green open spaces to explore.
There are always 10-12 Advanced support workers on site in the day and 4-5 at night. There are around 45 colleagues employed here. We currently have a full-time vacancy on day shifts.
Prior experience of working in care is required for this role and a Level 3 in Social Care is desirable. If you have a strong background as a support worker, with any specialist training or other skills and experiences that you can bring to this role, we will give you all the support that you need to succeed!
