Job summary

Falkirk High School invites applications for a committed, enthusiastic and organised Support for Learning Assistant (Advanced) to join our Health Faculty and wider school support team.

The role is based in the Home Economics Department and will involve a 50/50 split between supporting teachers and pupils in Home Economics classes and assisting with food preparation and practical teaching, ensuring resources and equipment are maintained. PVG membership is required for successful candidates.

• Experience of working with children or young people in education.

• Interest in supporting practical Home Economics learning.

Responsibilities

• Support teachers and pupils within Home Economics classes.
• Assist with food preparation and practical teaching materials.
• Ensure resources, equipment and materials are available to a high standard.
• Undertake whole-school support duties and assist the medical provision when required.
