Job summary

Falkirk Council is recruiting a Support for Learning Assistant at Shieldhill Primary School in Scotland. You will provide support for class teachers, Enhanced Provision Teachers, early years professionals and learners to enhance experiences and achievement.

You will also undertake a range of support activities with regard to supervision, safety, care and wellbeing of the children. You will work 27.5 hours per week on a term-time basis, Monday to Friday 9am-3pm (half hour lunch).

Qualifications

• Good communication skills are essential.
• Ability to work in a team and be flexible in your approach.
• Experience or ability to support learners with additional needs preferred.

Good communication skills are essential and the role will require you to supporting children with recognised additional support needs. You should enjoy working as part of a team and be flexible in your approach.

You will work 27.5 hours per week on a term time basis. Your working pattern will be Monday to Friday 9am-3pm (half hour lunch).

This post is temporary until April 2027 due to service requirement.

If you are the successful candidate, you will be required to gain/maintain PVG scheme membership, the cost of which will be met by the preferred candidate.
