Job summary

South Gloucestershire Council is seeking an Advanced Social Worker to lead on complex, high-risk cases with advanced professional judgement. You will mentor team members, support workforce development and supervise students on placement.

The role requires maintaining ongoing CPD and staying up to date with best practice, safeguarding, and contribution to service development. The position is hybrid, based in Badminton Road with community visits, and requires a Social Work degree, SW England

Qualifications

• Hold a degree in Social Work and be registered with Social Work England.
• Strong understanding of asset- and strengths-based approaches to adult social care.
• Confident decision-maker with problem-solving skills and collaborative mindset.
• Ideally at least 2 years post-qualification experience.
• Clear commitment to ongoing CPD and professional development.

Responsibilities
