Advanced Social Worker - Family Intervention Team

Location: Mold, Wales | Rate: £33.55 per hour | Contract: Ongoing | Full-Time or Part-Time

Position Overview

An exciting opportunity for an experienced Advanced Social Worker to join the Family Intervention Team in Mold. This ongoing locum position offers flexible hours and plays a key role in delivering high-quality services to children and families within Children's Services.

You will supervise staff, ensure the quality of assessments and reports, and foster strong multi-agency relationships. The role requires a confident practitioner with a solid knowledge of the Social Services and Well-being (Wales) Act 2014 and a commitment to improving family outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the quality of Child Protection reports, parenting assessments, and Court reports.
  • Deliver timely social care interventions for children in need.
  • Supervise and support team members professionally.

  • Collaborate with external agencies for coordinated care.
  • Maintain compliance with the Social Services and Well-being (Wales) Act 2014.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Degree in Social Work or equivalent (e.g., DipSW, CQSW).
  • Registered with Social Care Wales.
  • Significant post-qualification experience in children's social services.
  • Ability to manage complex cases and supervise practitioners.
  • Deep knowledge of Welsh legislation and safeguarding procedures.
  • Excellent communication skills.
